dorayaki

ingredients

2 eggs
100g caster sugar
1½ tbsp honey
1 tbsp canola oil
1 tbsp apple vinegar
½ tsp sugar
⅓ tsp baking soda
150g plain flour
60ml water

instructions

  1. whisk eggs and sugar in a large mixing bowl till pale and foamy.
  2. add in honey and mix well
  3. pour in oil and mix
  4. pour in baking soda (continue mixing)
  5. add in apple vinegar and sugar
  6. sift in half of plain flour into the batter & mix well
  7. lastly mix in the remaining batch of flour, followed by water
  8. mix till batter is completed smooth
  9. pour batter into pre-heated nonstick pan using messing cup, pour slowly for neat circles
  10. make sure the pan is on low heat
  11. once bubbles start forming on the pancake, flip it over to the other side & let cook till slightly brown
