ingredients
150g cake flour
⅔ tsp baking powder
1 egg
180ml milk (fresh)
40g caster sugar

instructions
- sift flour and baking powder into a large mixing bowl
- add caster sugar into the mix
- add in the milk and egg, mix well using a hand whisk
- transfer batter to a pouring cup – this is your taiyaki batter
- heat up the taiyaki pan, grease pan with some oil so that the batter does not stick
- heat over small fire – pour batter till half filled (it will expand), add in desired fillings (optional)
- flip the pan to stick the two halves together
- check for doneness – done once it is golden brown
